For today's in-class writing assignment:
  - Individually search for a good cover letter template online.

  - Insert your personal contact and portfolio information in this
letter and the contact information of the potential employer.

  - Determine who in your group has the best chance of being hired,
and use that template to start your draft letter.

- Do your company research.

	- For your take-home assignment,
you would now research your prospective employer online (with Google or
another search engine) for a considerable period of time. Find out
who would like be receiving your application. Who might you work for?
What's on their "about" pages? Are there forum posts about the company?
	From ex-employees? Clients?

	- For this assignment, visit the employer's main website, and find
something (ie, one thing) there to include in your application
letter that reveals you've done your research.

  - Brainstorm an anecdote to include that will have the employer picture you in their position making them
money.  Draft it in a single paragraph.  Ensure that
it covers what is requested in the job description.

  - Brainstorm your most useful experience in the field.  Draft
a paragraph that contains that relevant experience in a skimmable
manner.

  - Create an introduction and a conclusion that emphasize building
goodwill with your prospective employer.

- Reread.  Proofread.  Ensure that you're memorable. Ensure that your letter
is error free.

  - And you're done!  Email your group's final letter to your
instructor. To finish strong, put your final product in "pdf format".
This format ensues that your reader will see what you've written in the same
way that you do when you reviewed it. It's not too off base to say that
you cannot guarantee that any other format will look exactly the same
when viewed by your prospective employer.
